About My Practice

Your brain is wired for healing. Trauma and attachment wounds may block that pathway, but they don’t erase it. My role is to help you access your nervous system’s natural ability to transform—safely, effectively, and at your own pace.

My practice is a safe, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC-affirming space for healing. It’s trauma-informed, ethically grounded, and designed for short-term, results-oriented transformation. While a course of treatment can last anywhere from 3 months to 3 years, most clients work with me for 6–12 months. My goal is not to keep you in therapy forever—it’s to support your healing so you can move forward feeling more free, more whole, and more yourself.

Although I believe everyone can benefit from this work, my private practice does not accept insurance and is best suited to individuals with resources to invest in their own healing, transformation, and growth. My clients typically include professionals and business owners, caregivers and medical providers, first responders and retirees, and individuals with a history of childhood trauma or relational wounding.

Sessions are rooted in a combination of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), the Flash Technique, IFS-informed Parts Work, and—in the near future—Brainspotting. These methods help reprocess trauma, build inner compassion, and access healing in a way that honors both your brain and body. We work together through an attachment-informed lens that helps you explore how early bonds shape present-day patterns. I also help you build body-based awareness and learn practical nervous system regulation skills using insights from polyvagal theory.

To describe the therapy process, I often use three metaphors: the Mountain, where we begin at basecamp and slowly hike the path of healing, forging new paths and covering up those that no longer serve you; the Tree, where we tend to the roots of pain rather than just trimming the branches; and the Tunnel, where EMDR can feel dark and nebulous, but the sun is waiting on the other side.

If you're emotionally ready and committed to your growth—even if you’ve been in therapy before—this work may be the breakthrough you've been waiting for.

Hi, I’m Gabrielle—though most people know me as Gigi.

I’m a certified EMDRIA therapist working with clients in Maine and Massachusetts. I specialize in helping people heal from trauma and long-held patterns that block growth and connection. My approach is grounded, body-based, attachment-based, and collaborative—drawing on both science and compassion to guide deep transformation.

Before opening my private practice, I spent seven years working in hospitals, including two in an ICU during the COVID-19 pandemic. That experience taught me how to sit with people in their hardest moments—with steadiness, clarity, and respect—and inspired my commitment to supporting those who care for others.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Special Honors from Hunter College in 2013, where I conducted research in an anxiety and depression lab. I completed my Master’s in Social Work at Simmons University in 2016 and obtained my LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) in 2018. In 2022, I trained in EMDR through the Trauma Therapist Institute and later achieved certification as an EMDR provider recognized by EMDRIA (EMDR International Organization).

In addition to EMDR, I integrate the Flash Technique and attachment- and parts-work approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS). I’m also pursuing certification in Brainspotting to continue expanding the tools I bring to my clients. My clinical consultants are Crystal Hines of Align Therapy and Consultation and Crystal Wilds of Insight Psychology  and I’m currently working toward becoming an EMDRIA certified consultant through the Trauma Therapist Institute, which allows me to mentor other clinicians in this work.

I know the power of this work firsthand. Trauma doesn’t just live in the past—it shapes how we experience the present. But the nervous system is capable of rewiring and repair. My role is to create a safe, attuned space for that process to unfold.

I believe no trauma is too big to heal from—and you don’t have to do it alone.
