About My Practice

Your brain is wired for healing. Trauma and attachment wounds can disrupt that process, but they do not take it away. My role is to help you gently access your nervous system’s natural capacity to heal—at a pace that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative.

My practice is a safe, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC-affirming space. It is trauma-informed, ethically grounded, and designed to support meaningful change rather than endless therapy. While treatment can last anywhere from a few months to several years, many clients work with me for 6–12 months. My intention is not to keep you in therapy forever, but to help you feel more free, more grounded, and more connected to yourself as you move forward.

This work is for adults who feel curious about their inner world and interested in how past experiences may still be shaping present-day patterns. I believe access to trauma-informed care should not be limited by financial or systemic barriers. At this time, my practice operates on a private-pay basis and does not accept insurance, and I share this openly so you can decide whether this feels feasible for you.

This is not traditional talk therapy. While we do talk, the heart of this work is experiential and nervous-system based. My role is not to analyze or fix you, but to help you build trust in your brain and body’s ability to heal through evidence-based trauma therapies—while I support you, bear witness, offer education, care deeply, and cheer you on along the way.

I work with people across many identities and life experiences—caregivers, helpers, professionals, creatives, medical providers, first responders, retirees, and those carrying histories of trauma, relational wounds, or systemic harm.

Therapy sessions draw from EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Brainspotting, the Flash Technique and IFS-informed Parts Work. These approaches support deep healing by working with both the brain and the body. Our work is attachment-informed and includes practical tools for nervous system regulation, guided by insights from polyvagal theory.

I often describe the process using three metaphors: the Mountain, where healing happens step by step; the Tree, where we tend to the roots rather than just the symptoms; and the Tunnel, where the work can feel challenging at times—but the light is real and reachable.

If you feel emotionally ready and open to transformation—even if you’ve tried therapy before—this work may offer a new path forward.

Hi, I’m Gabrielle—though most people know me as Gigi.

I’m a certified EMDRIA therapist working with clients in Maine and Massachusetts. I specialize in helping people heal from trauma and long-held patterns that block growth and connection. My approach is grounded, body-based, attachment-based, and collaborative—drawing on both science and compassion to guide deep transformation.

Before opening my private practice, I spent seven years working in hospitals, including two in an ICU during the COVID-19 pandemic. That experience taught me how to sit with people in their hardest moments—with steadiness, clarity, and respect—and inspired my commitment to supporting those who care for others.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Special Honors from Hunter College in 2013, where I conducted research in an anxiety and depression lab. I completed my Master’s in Social Work at Simmons University in 2016 and obtained my LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) in 2018. In 2022, I trained in EMDR through the Trauma Therapist Institute and later achieved certification as an EMDR provider recognized by EMDRIA (EMDR International Organization).

In addition to EMDR, I integrate the Flash Technique and attachment- and parts-work approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS). I’m also pursuing certification in Brainspotting to continue expanding the tools I bring to my clients. My clinical consultants are Crystal Hines of Align Therapy and Consultation and Crystal Wilds of Insight Psychology  and I’m currently working toward becoming an EMDRIA certified consultant through the Trauma Therapist Institute, which allows me to mentor other clinicians in this work.

I know the power of this work firsthand. Trauma doesn’t just live in the past—it shapes how we experience the present. But the nervous system is capable of rewiring and repair. My role is to create a safe, attuned space for that process to unfold.

I believe no trauma is too big to heal from—and you don’t have to do it alone.
